A new inscription in honour of our outgoing President Lord Eatwell has been unveiled today.
The inscription is among a number of ways in which the College is recognising Lord Eatwell's contribution to Queens' over his 23-year Presidency. It is also a personal gesture of thanks from the Fellows, some of whom were able to gather safely to watch the ceremony.
Professor Richard Weber, Vice-President: "Lord Eatwell initiated a project in 2008 to transform the Round from a puddle-strewn car park to the beautiful College Entrance and way to the Mathematical Bridge that it is today. It is the most traversed part of the College. Fellows know that Lord Eatwell is especially pleased to have completed the Round project during his presidency. The Round is thus the perfect place to mark his stewardship of Queens' for 23 years."
