A Deeper Field of View: The Medieval Foundations of our World
Monday September 30th 2024 timings 10:00-16:30
- Share your passion for the past and explore all things medieval with experts from the Cambridge University departments of English literature, Anglo-Saxon Norse and Celtic, History of Art, Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, and Architecture.
- Find out about the range of degree courses available at the University of Cambridge.
- See the architecture of the medieval university, and view precious medieval manuscripts.
Eligibility:
- Participants must be in Y12 or equivalent in the academic year 2024/25, and have an interest in one or more aspects of the Medieval world.
- Participants should be on track to achieve Grade 7 or above in GCSE at least 4 relevant GCSE subjects (e.g. languages, English, art, history, music, religious studies).
- Some overnight accommodation in Queens’ college is available for students travelling over two hours each way to attend.
- Should the event be oversubscribed priority will be given to students from our link areas (Bradford, Kent & Medway, Havering), or who meet other widening participation criteria.
