The President launches the John Eatwell Fellowship

To mark John Eatwell's distinguished Presidency of the College over the last 23 years, the Fellows of Queens' would like to endow a full College Fellowship in his honour.

The Fellowship will be without a subject bias, allowing maximum versatility, and will bear the title The John Eatwell Fellowship.

The President announced this Fellowship at the Alumni and Arthur Armitage & 1448 Society Garden Parties, which were held in College last Saturday. An extract from his speech can be watched below.

More information about The John Eatwell Fellowship can be found on the College website or in the campaign brochure. Donations can be made through the website, by telephone (01223 331944) or by return of the donation form.

The Garden Party was a great success, with more than 330 alumni and friends returning to the College. They were treated to piano recitals from Susie Neave (2016) and Will Rose (2018), an organ recital from Robin Pillinger (2019), George C. Phillips Junior Organ Scholar and a concert from the Chapel Choir. Afternoon tea was provided in the Fellows' Garden and, for members of the 1448 Society & Arthur Armitage Society, the President's Garden, and, in addition to the speech by the President, there were speeches from Rowan Kitt, Development Director, and Aarushi Sahore (LLM, 2018), the Sternberg LLM Studentship Recipient for 2018-19.
