Second Years' Parents' Halfway Dinner 2018

We were pleased to welcome over 150 parents and students to Queens’ yesterday evening for the Second Years’ Parents’ Halfway Dinner.

As always, our hope is that parents and guardians feel connected to the College and, where possible, involved with its activities and news. We host the Parents’ Halfway Dinner as an opportunity to experience a formal dinner, to meet other parents, Queens’ Fellows and members of the Alumni & Development Office.

The evening began with a drinks reception in the Old Hall, followed by a three-course dinner in Cripps Dining Hall. After dinner, Mr Rowan Kitt (Fellow, Development Director & Senior College Officer) welcomed the families in attendance and spoke briefly about the College and the role of the Development department. Mr Kitt then introduced Dr Ramsey Faragher (Bye-Fellow & former Computer Science Director of studies) who gave an interesting talk on his Fellowship and research relating to smartphone positioning chips, as well as the founding of his tech start-up, Focal Point Positioning.
