Easter term in the library

We have a few important updates to library services in Easter term:

Study spaces

In addition to the War Memorial Library, AA14 (for undergrads), and the Armitage Room (for grads): the Erasmus Room, the Fitzpatrick Gallery, the Angevin Room, and the Green Room are available as library study spaces. The Erasmus Room will be a silent space.

Cripps Hall is available from 9.30-11.45 and 14.30-16.30, with hot drinks, fruit, and biscuits available. Please note that this is not a quiet study area, and there are no plug sockets.

The opening hours of the WML are extended to 3am.

Desk and book reservation

Due to the high demand for space in the WML, the desk reservation system now applies to the whole library. If you leave any belongings unattended, please fill out a desk reservation slip and your spot will be saved for 60 minutes. Staff and other students can clear belongings on desks to make room if no slip is left, or belongings are left longer than 60 minutes.

If you are using books in the library and would like us not to reshelve them, you can leave a book reservation slip to keep a book reserved for you for 2 days. We'll add these to your account and move them to the designated trolley on each floor.

Other services

We offer comb binding (£1 per binding, please give us at least a day to do it before deadlines!), and we have bound copies of past exam papers in the library entrance area. As always, the library is here to help arrange access to resources you need for your studies.

If you have any questions, please come and speak to us at the library desk.
