Health & Wellbeing Team

In addition to the Tutors we have a Health & Wellbeing Team, who are based predominantly in The Health & Wellbeing Centre, Cripps Court.

The team have a broad range of professional backgrounds and have significant experience in supporting students with health and wellbeing issues. The team are available to support you through any difficulties you encounter, while studying at Cambridge. They also provide a range of activities and workshops throughout the year focusing on health and wellbeing.

We would encourage you to contact them with any concerns you have, as they arise, or simply to meet (virtually or physically) for a chat if you are feeling down, anxious, happy or excited.

 

 

Revd. Tim Harling

Tim is the head of the Health & Wellbeing Team. This is a role which has an overview of all that the College delivers concerning the functions of the Health & Wellbeing Team. Tim is also one of the Harassment and Assault Officers and is the Safeguarding Lead for the College.

In addition, Tim is the Dean of Chapel and an Official Fellow. 

Unlike others in the Health & Wellbeing Team, who are based in the Health Centre, Tim’s Office is S4 (Dokett Building). He is available to all students. For a meeting, chat or a ‘catch-up’ please email him, in the first instance, via tch42@cam.ac.uk.

  

 

 

 

Jenny Schiller

Jenny is the Clinical Lead at Queens’ with the role of leading and advising on all clinical decisions made across the Health & Wellbeing Team. Jenny is a Registered Nurse in Mental Health and a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, accredited through the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) and the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists). She offers therapy to students experiencing mental health and emotional difficulties.

Jenny also offers sessions focussed on building self-confidence and resilience, with the aim of promoting mental and physical wellbeing across the College.

Jenny is one of the Harassment and Assault officers and also a first-aider, and can provide assistance on a range of physical health concerns.

Emily Farrar

Emily is a Registered Nurse in Mental Health, accredited through the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) and a Health and Wellbeing Adviser. She is here to offer support and guidance to students who are experiencing emotional, psychological and personal difficulties.

She specialises in mental health assessment and crisis management, ensuring that the student is treated in the most appropriate way, focusing on the needs of the individual and is able to refer externally if necessary. 

Emily is the Disability Liaison Officer and a first-aider, and can provide assistance on a range of physical health concerns.

Emily is available Tuesday to Friday.

Kemi Fadero

Kemi is an integrative Counsellor and Wellbeing coach, registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). Her experience spans working with adolescents, young people and adults struggling with emotional distress and life stressors. Her therapeutic approach seeks to enable individuals to become self-aware of the factors causing them distress and how to manage and develop self-directed tools and strategies to reduce future challenges.
