Mr Harry Bartholomew

Harry Bartholomew, MA (Cantab.), MSc

As the Reader Services Librarian, I assist the Fellow Librarian in developing and promoting a proactive library and information service that successfully plays its part in realising the College's overall teaching and research objectives. I work with both students and Fellows to develop the collection of the War Memorial Library, ensuring that the books and learning resources are browsed, borrowed, and used in a welcoming environment. I also participate in the provision of reference services and information skills sessions for College members.

Research

For my Master's degree in information science, my dissertation focused on the development of software to make efficiencies in library collection development. My main interests are bibliographic data structures and the possibilities for automation they bring to researchers and librarians.
