575th Anniversary of the College

Visit Queens' to celebrate its 575th Anniversary with us.

Tours of Old Library will take place in the morning and triumphant organ music played by Queens' organ scholars past and present will begin at 12 noon. All are welcome to attend the recital, and alumni are invited to bring their friends and families to visit the College - come along to enjoy the music, wander the grounds and take lunch in Cripps hall. For library tours, booking is essential. 

Old Library Tours

Please note the additional tour time at 9:30 am.

Alumni and their guests are invited to join us for a special opportunity to visit the historic and atmospheric Old Library. Visits will last 25 minutes each, wth a short introduction from the library's Rare Books Curator, Lucille Munoz after which visitors are free to explore the library's space and exhibition on display at their own pace. This visit is free for alumni and their guests and advance booking is essential. Please email alumnievents@queens.cam.ac.uk to book your space by Thursday 13th April.

Alumni Organ Recital

Triumphant organ music will sound from Queens' Chapel at 12 noon to mark the 575th anniverary of the College. All are welcome to attend and no booking is necessary.

FAQs

Q: How do I book?

A: Please email alumnievents@queens.cam.ac.uk to book a place on an Old Library visit. The Organ Recital is open to all and no booking is necessary.

Q: What are the timings of this event?

A: Old Library tours run every half an hour between 10 and 12; the Organ Recital will commence at 12pm.

Q: Can I bring guests?

A: Alumni are welcome to bring guests, but please let us know how many guests you intend to bring if booking for the Old Library so that we can ensure the event doesn't reach capacity. If you are not attending either of these events but still wish to visit the College on this day, please note the College's Visitor Policy on our general FAQ Page.

Q: What should I wear?

A: There is no dress code for either of these events.
