Gates Cambridge Class of 2025 Announced

The class of 2025 in the Gates Scholarship has officially been announced. 95 new scholars from across the world will form the 25th cohort of Gates Cambridge Scholars and will be joining the University of Cambridge in October.

We are delighted to be welcoming 2 Gates Scholar-elects to the Queens’ community;

• Leo Baek, MPhil Social Anthropology
• Faith Kiyuka, MPhil Technology Policy

Professor Eilís Ferran, Provost of the Gates Cambridge Trust, said: “…We know that our new scholars will thrive in the rich, international community at Cambridge and we trust that they will go on to have a significant impact in their various fields and more broadly, tackling the urgent global challenges we face today.”

The Gates Cambridge scholarship programme was created in 2000 by a $210 million donation to the University of Cambridge from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It is the University of Cambridge’s foremost postgraduate scholarship programme for international applicants.
