Some rooms have shared bathroom facilities but all of those in Cripps and Erasmus along with the sets in Fisher have private bathrooms. All Queens’ accommodation apart from the Erasmus building is built on the traditional staircase design. There are lifts in Cripps Building enabling stair free access to most of its rooms.
As well as the accommodation at Silver Street, Queens’ owns some shared houses, and a large accommodation site for undergraduates and postgraduates at Owlstone Croft. There are also some purpose built flats for couples within the city. The shared houses are predominantly occupied by postgraduate students although some may be available to third and fourth year undergraduates. There is limited accommodation for couples and no accommodation for students with children although we do have a nursery for pre-school children.

Cripps Court was built in stages between 1974 and 1980. It houses just over 180 students. The majority of first year undergraduates are housed in Cripps Court.
Built in 1911 and located in Friars' Court, Dokett Building has 3 staircases connecting four floors.
Erasmus rooms are predominantly taken by second and third year undergraduates.
Built in 1936 and located adjacent to Silver Street, Fisher Building is a curved red brick building with five staircases.
Built in 1885 and located in Friars' Court, Friars' Building has four floors and four staircases.
Predominantly built between 1448 and 1450, Old Court rooms are among the most sought after on the College central site and are usually taken by third year undergraduates.

Lent 2025: 31st December 2024 – 31st March 2025
Easter 2025: 31st March 2025 – 26th June 2025
The dates above apply to off site post graduate accommodation with the exception of Easter Term where residency ends on the 30th June 2025.
University regulations state that all students must be resident in Cambridge for a minimum number of nights each term. You must stay for 59 nights for the Michaelmas and Lent Terms and 56 nights for the Easter Term.

Should you wish to make a claim under this insurance, you should deal with Endsleigh directly, not the college.
All of our rooms for the forthcoming academic year have been allocated and, although often circumstances change, we do not expect availability before the start of Michaelmas Term.
Should any accommodation become available after the start of Term, Queens’ students will be notified via the MCR e-mail.

While Queens’ is currently unable to provide accommodation suitable for students with children, it is able to offer a number of resources for student parents to draw on. These include:
The University’s Childcare Information Adviser is available to help all students and staff with children with child-related matters. Information on finding local nurseries, childminders or after-school clubs; University facilities; financial assistance as well as advice on available bursary schemes and College family accommodation for students.
The Adviser also operates email lists to keep parents up to date with childcare information and in touch with each other. Parents interested in joining should email childcare@admin.cam.ac.uk.
