Meeting today’s needs and anticipating future challenges

Queens’ spends over £7 million on the education it provides each year.

Student fees contribute less than 20% of our overall running costs per annum; to make up this shortfall, we rely heavily on donations to the Unrestricted Fund.

Support for the Unrestricted Fund bolsters our ability to provide transformational educational opportunities to an ever-increasing and more diverse group of students.

The size of our endowment means that we have a smaller annual income than many Colleges with similarly sized student bodies, which means that additional income sources are essential.

Fundraising Priorities and Projects

Each year, the College faces significant financial and operational challenges.

The Unrestricted Fund enables us to flexibly meet these challenges head-on and simultaneously build resilience for the future.

The effects of global conflicts, disruptions to the world economy, and the ongoing cost of living crisis are some of the largest obstacles facing our community today.

In the face of these challenges, we remain committed to providing the highest standard of student welfare through the provision of bursaries, subsidised meals and accommodation, wellbeing services, hardship grants, and investment in infrastructure.
