Utilities	Gas, electricity and water charges are not included in the room rent. Each quarter an advanced charge will be made for utilities. At the end of the quarter this will be refunded and the actual charges, as calculated from the utility meter readings, will be charged.

Furnishings	Bed, Wardrobe, Chest of Drawers, Desk, Study Lamp, Bedside Table, Waste Paper Bin. This is a list of items that are typically provided in a study/bedroom and should be used for guidance only. An exact room inventory will be available to students on arrival.
Bed Linen	Not provided. Bedding packs are available to purchase from the Housekeeping Department. Order forms are sent out with room allocation details.
Kitchen equipment	College provides 2 cookers, 4 fridge/freezers, 1 microwave, 1 bread toaster and 1 kettle, a dining table and chairs.
Other College provided items	2 washing machines, 2 dryers, television and associated licence, soft seating, coffee table, bicycle storage and cleaning equipment (including vacuum cleaner).
Storage	2 storage cupboards are available for suitcases and boxes. All items must be labelled with your name and room number and must be removed at the end of your stay.
Cleaning	Each resident is solely responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of their own bedroom, their personal cupboards in the kitchen and for washing up their own cooking and eating utensils. All residents are jointly responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the communal house areas. The College will send a cleaner once weekly to assist in cleaning the communal areas.
Keys	Room keys should be collected from the Porters' Lodge on the main Queens' College site in Silver Street, Cambridge and must be returned to the Porters' Lodge at the end of residence.
Maintenance	Students are responsible for ensuring any problems which may arise with the furnishings or fixtures within the house are promptly reported to the appropriate college department. Parking	Residents may not park on the roads outside or nearby.

Miscellaneous	A resident of 98-100 Norwich Street is appointed each year to represent the house residents on the Domus Committee and to liaise on behalf of the residents with various College departments. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all College precincts and in all College properties.
