Inaugural Benefactors' Feast

On Sunday 7 May, we were delighted to host the inaugural Benefactors' Feast, to both thank benefactors and celebrate philanthropy within the College. 27 benefactors were in attendance, accompanied by their guests, current students and Fellows

The evening began with a special service in Chapel delivered by Dean of Chapel, Revd Tim Harling. The names of past donors - dating back to the foundation of the College - were read aloud by the President, Lord Eatwell, and then current donors were called forward by the Praelector, Dr Butterfield, to be individually thanked in Latin by the President and Fellowship in the service.

Benefactors and their guests were then invited for a private viewing in the Old Library followed by a talk by Dr James Campbell, Seear Fellow in Architecture & Art History.

A sumptuous dinner followed in Old Hall, where new Head Chef, Kevin Bassam, delighted the guests with seven courses of delicious, seasonal food. The Feast was opened by a sung grace, performed by the choir from the musicians' gallery.

We are ever grateful to alumni and friends of the College; their philanthropy underpins all the work we do at Queens' and we are thankful for their loyalty and support.
