College

In college, Professor Dixon supervises Land Law and Equity for law students. He is Director of Studies in Land Economy.

Research

Professor Dixon’s research include land law and land registration, the law of mortgages, the law of co-ownership, proprietary estoppel and international law. Professor Dixon is a co-author of Megarry & Wade: The Law of Real Property, a book which is viewed as a highly authoritative source of English Land Law. Professor Dixon is also an editor of Ruoff and Roper: The Law and Practice of Registered Conveyancing and he is the General Editor of The Conveyancer and Property Lawyer. Professor Dixon is the author of Modern Land Law, which is a student text now in its 11th Edition.

Martin Dixon is Professor of the Law of Real Property and delivers lectures as part of the Land Law course.

Professor Dixon is the Director of the Cambridge Centre for Property Law which aims to further research and scholarship in the law of real property. He was awarded the Pilkington Prize for excellence in teaching by the University of Cambridge.
