(Awarded to Queens' College Research Students only)
Munro Studentships are available to second and third year research students of Queens' College. If you would like to be considered for a Munro Scholarship for 2021/22, please let the DoS at Queens' for whom you supervise know that you are interested in applying as soon as possible.
The primary purpose of the Munro Studentships is to meet the teaching needs of the College. The key selection criterion is the candidate’s demonstrable ability to supply high quality teaching according to the College’s need.
Remuneration is in kind: you are provided with College accommodation at a subsidised rent and some commons free of charge. There is no stipend attached.
A Munro student shall normally be appointed for one year.
Applications should consist of:
- A covering letter.
- A current CV.
- A statement listing your current supervising experience to date (please list the Tripos and the courses/papers you have supervised in Cambridge, including number of students and which College) and potential supervising for the next academic year (listing Tripos and possible courses/papers and the likely number of students).
- A letter of reference from the DoS at Queens’ for whom you supervise. NOTE: Please obtain the endorsement of the appropriate DoS prior to submitting your application.
Please submit items (1) (2) and (3) above to your DoS by Friday, 26 March 2021. The DoS will then add a letter of reference and forward your application to the Tutorial Office.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome by the end of May. There will be no interviews.
