Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Officer
Due to the retirement of the existing post holder, we are looking to recruit a Compliance Officer to lead on Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities in College, providing expert knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture, and to ensure that the College complies with its regulatory obligations.
The successful candidate will be well educated, with a valid qualification in health and safety (minimum NEBOSH General Certificate), with knowledge and application of ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 standards. Proven experience as a safety manager with a positive and proactive approach to HS&E management is a requirement for this role. Recognised managerial qualification, by examination is highly desirable.
Hours of work are full time (36.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday. There will be a requirement to work additional hours depending on the needs of the business, and on occasion, provide emergency and other out of hours' advice.
The salary will be in the region of £32,000 to £38,000 depending on skills & experience.
