Queens' students Sarah Bull and Nina Anderson danced in the Cambridge University Dancesport team Varsity match, held last Saturday in the Cambridge University Sports Centre. Despite strong competition from the Dark Blues, the Cambridge team were victorious, leading to many members of the team, including Sarah and Nina, being awarded half Blues.

Sarah and Nina will have a chance to celebrate their success tonight, at the annual Blues Dinner, held in Queens'. The dinner is for Queens' Blues and half Blues to thank them for all their efforts in representing Cambridge and Queens' in university-level sport.

Intercollegiate Football Shield

Queens' second football teamIn other sporting news, the Queens' Men's second team won the Intercollegiate Football Shield, led by captain Alfie Crust. The final was held last Friday at Barton Road sports ground, against Churchill. It was a dramatic game, with Queens' dominating the play but Churchill scoring from free kicks. At full time, the score was a nail-biting 3-3, but Queens' found something special in extra time and took it to an emphatic 8-4 win.
