Using the Library in Easter term

As you continue your studies for Easter Term, whether you're still in Cambridge or somewhere else around the world, Queens' Library is here for you. We're currently working from home but we can still help you to access books, eresources, and other information you need for your studies and research during this challenging time. We have already been able to solve many issues from students by either enabling access to electronic resources or sending physical books via post, so if you have any problems or need access to anything for your studies, get in touch on library@queens.cam.ac.uk.

To make things easier for you, we've collected together a lot of the resources you might need for studying online on our new webpage on using Queens' Library during the lockdown. For details of the considerable expansion in resources that has been made available by both the university and publishers, please see the relevant UL ebook and eresources webpages. Also check out our Library Facebook page to stay updated and for top tips about online resources. Instead of our famous Easter Term coffee mornings we'll be posting links to amazing sites that will help you take a break and explore more of the world from the comfort of your home, so stay tuned for museum tours, zoo webcams and much more!

Your current loans

Any books you borrowed before the Library was closed on 20th March are now due back at the end of Easter Term, Wednesday 10th June. However, we will be extending the loan period for all students who will be returning to Queens' for the next academic year, so if you're not graduating this year then don't worry about returning anything to us until you are resident in college again. No fines will be charged for this period. Please don't send any books back to us via post unless we specifically ask you to do so.

If you are due to finish your studies in 2020 then we will contact you nearer the time to clarify what we would like you to do with your library books. The University as a whole is currently working on a way to help you return all the books you have borrowed from multiple libraries, so we will be in touch when this is finalised.

Above all stay safe and we hope to see all of you in the WML again soon!
