The Patterson Celebration Dinner, celebrating the endowment of a fund to support English students in honour of Dr Ian Patterson, took place on Friday, September 28, 2018.
33 donors to the Fund were in attendance at the dinner, along with Dr Ian Patterson (Life Fellow), Lord Eatwell (President), Dr Ramana Ramaswamy (Distinguished Academic Visitor), Dr Andrew Zurcher (Fellow) and Mr Rowan Kitt (Development Director). Guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the Old Senior Common Room followed by dinner in the beautiful Munro room. Several alumni gave emotional tributes about Ian as a supervisor in English and as a tutor.
The success of this fund has been matched by alumni helping to endow the Seear Fund (Architecture), the Milgate Fund (Economics), the Macpherson Fund (Law) and the Haszeldine Fund (Chemistry).
