Varsity Rugby matches

Two Queens' students helped Cambridge Women's Rugby XV to victory in yesterday's Varsity match at Twickenham. Charlotte Spruzen won her second Blue and Tabbie Brough put in a try-saving tackle to give the Light Blues an 8-5 win. The Men's team, captained by Nick Koster from Queens', went down to Oxford 38-16 in a valiant display. Over 50 Queens' alumni gathered for a reunion at Twickenham as usual.

Extra gym space in College

As part of the drive to ensure that our extra-curricular facilities are fit for purpose, extra gym space has been made by requisitioning one of the three Squash courts in Lyon Court. New equipment, paid for by the College, has been put in and is now being used by students, staff and Fellows.

 Fairbairns

Queens' College Boat Club had a successful time at Fairbairns this week. The M1 team came in at 15:36, 1:25 behind the winning team but a significant improvement on their time from last year, whilst W1 came 6th with a time of 17:11, 0:25 off the winning team. The second boats did well too, with W2 finishing in a time of 18:49, making them the third-fastest W2 team.

Well done to all our sports teams for a very successful term: here's to 2019!
