Queens' Entrepreneurship Society holds its first event

On Thursday 3rd November, Queens' Entrepreneurship Society (QES) held its first event in the Bowett Room.

Ramsey Faragher, President, CTO, Executive Director and Founder at FocalPoint, and Bye-Fellow of Queens' College, spoke about the first steps in entrepreneurship, including what entrepreneurship is, and how to get started.

His presentation was highly informative and provided practical insights on setting up a company and overseeing its growth.

Everyone in attendance was able to network both before and after the presentation, which provided a valuable opportunity to meet other Queens' members, from multidisciplinary backgrounds, who are interested in entrepreneurship.

A panel of speakers shared their expertise with the audience and there was a chance to ask questions at the end.

Panel members for this talk were Tamzin Lent, CEO and Co-Founder of Where You At, Stewart McTavish, Chief Platform Officer and Co-Founder at Deeptech Labs, and Steve Brierley, the CEO and Founder of Riverlane.
