Professor Richard Fentiman formally appointed QC

The Arthur Armitage Fellow in Law, Professor Richard Fentiman, was made Honorary Queen's Counsel at a ceremony at Westminster Hall last Monday.

In a speech given by the Right Honorable David Gauke MP, Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, Professor Fentiman was thanked for his contribution to the law and acknowledged as a a leading scholar in his field, especially as an expert on the law and practice of international commercial litigation.

The Lord Chancellor also outlined the importance of the title of Queen's Counsel as an internationally-recognised mark of excellence, recognising the depth of expertise and eminence reached by those to whom it is awarded.
