Paul Greengrass presented with prestigious BFI Fellowship

Congratulations to Paul Greengrass (1974) who was presented with this year’s British Film Institute (BFI) Fellowship for his contribution to the entertainment industry. The BFI Fellowship, presented Saturday evening at Banqueting House, is the Institute's highest accolade.

Over his 40-year career, Greengrass has certainly made a mark on the industry as film director, producer and screenwriter with films such as The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, Captain Phillips and Bloody Sunday.

Paul Greengrass is a keen advocate for young people moving into the industry, and, in the wake of last week's Weinstein scandal, Greengrass addressed the shortfalls of the industry and declared that much needs to be done to address discrimination in film, stating, "...every one of us in leadership positions have to do more, and we have to act on poor behaviour. It’s pointless to talk about changes if we don’t actually do anything."
