Old Library Open Day

Queens’ Library is pleased to announce that the Old Library will open its doors to the public for a special day on Saturday 21 April 2018.

Two hands-on workshops on ‘Bookbinding in Tudor Cambridge’, organised in conjunction with the Cambridge Colleges’ Conservation Consortium, will take place in the morning (at 9.30-10.30 & 11.00-12.00). In addition, our highly successful exhibition, ‘Not a Day Without a Line: Past lives of Renaissance books in Queens' Library’, will be open to visitors in the afternoon (1.30-4.30). Finally two 15-minute curator’s talks providing background information to the exhibition will take place at 2.00pm and 3.00pm - no need to book, please just drop in.
