MCR Alumni Speaker Series

This year, the MCR are launching an Alumni Speaker Series. The first talk will take place this coming Thursday, 7th November and will be given by Dr Michael Foale CBE (1975).

Dr Foale read for an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences and then a Doctorate in Astrophysics at Queens'. He was selected to become a NASA astronaut in 1987 and flew on a total of six space missions through the 1990s and 2000s. He is the first Briton to perform a space walk and holds the record for most time spent in space by a UK citizen, with more than 374 cumulative days in space.

The talk will be held in the Fitzpatrick Hall and will start at 7.30pm, with doors open from 7pm. It is free but advance booking is essential, here: https://forms.gle/HkZJwCaKucUFiucY8. Regrettably, due to capacity limitations, this event is open to Queens' members only (current students, Fellows, alumni and staff).

If any Fellows, students, staff or alumni have news items they would like to be featured on the College website, please send them to the Development Officer (Communications)
