MagSoc Concert

The Lent term MagSoc concert took place last Monday night in West Road Concert Hall.

The MagSoc Symphony Orchestra and Chorus were joined by soloists Anna-Luise Wagner, Hope Whitehead, Andrei Smid and Philip Heckmann-Umhau to perform Mozart's overture to The Magic Flute, Laudate Dominum and Coronation Mass and Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, conducted by Carlos Rodriguez and Adam McDonagh.

The concert went very well and was thoroughly enjoyed by both audience and performers. We are looking forward to the next MagSoc concert, which will take place in May Week!

Tomorrow night, Wednesday 13th March, there is another musical event happening in Queens': the Tyro Prize competition. This competition is for amateur musicians, ie not music students or scholars, and a prize of £100 will be awarded for the best performance. The competition will take place in the Old Hall at 7pm, and all are more than welcome.
