Last Saturday Queens' was the venue for a dinner to celebrate the retirement of Alan Thorn (1967), organised by a number of his former pupils.
Mr Thorn was a maths teacher at RGS Guildford for more than forty years and inspired numerous students to come to Queens'. Professor Peter Haynes (1976), Fellow in Mathematics at Queens' and a former student of Mr Thorn's, represented the Fellowship at this event.
We wish Alan all the best in his retirement.
