5th annual Blues Dinner 2019

The fifth annual Blues Dinner was held in Queens' on Wednesday 8th May. The dinner celebrates the achievement of Queens' sportsmen and women and thanks them for representing the College in university-level sport.

The evening began with photographs in Cloister Court and drinks in the Long Gallery of the President's Lodge, followed by a dinner in Old Hall. The speaker was Kat Astley (1994), who was President of the Boat Club and won two Blues for rowing during her time at Queens'. She was also an Army officer an now runs her own leadership consultancy. Donors to the Blues Fund were also invited to the dinner this year, as were those who had given to endowed sports bursaries. Jonathan Duck (1979) presented certificates to the recipients of The Eleanor Duck Sports Bursary which Jonathan endowed in his daughter's name. Eleanor is now at Oxford reading Medicine.
