Recent graduate Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan (2013) became the second place runner up of The Roundhouse Poetry Slam Competition 2017 in June with her piece 'This Is Not A Humanising Poem'.
Having studied History while at Queens' Suhaiymah was also involved in the JCR as Access Officer. She is just completing a year of studying for a Masters in Postcolonial Studies at SOAS in London. In the last year she has written for The Independent and been featured in both The Huffington Post and The Guardian while also maintaing her own blog, The Brown Hijabi.
