Dr Sebastian Keibek, MSc (Utrecht), BA, MPhil, PhD. Research Fellow in (Economic History).
My research focuses on the economic and social history of England and Wales in the early modern period and during the early stages of industrialisation, roughly 1550-1850. Specific topics of past and current research are: occupational structure, by-employments, household consumption, and wealth distribution. I have special interests in: advanced quantitative methods in historical research; ‘big data’; correcting historical sources for wealth and social bias; the geography of historical change.
I am a member of the Faculty of History and of the Cambridge Group for the History of Population and Social Structure.
