Queens’ College is one of Cambridge’s most historic colleges and offers a selection of bed and breakfast accommodation, ideal for visitors looking for a true Cambridge experience. We can also offer accommodation to delegates of conferences that are held at Queens’.
We offer a selection of comfortable twin ensuite bedrooms, offering a perfect base to explore Cambridge and beyond. All bedrooms have complimentary Wi Fi and our full and hearty breakfast is included – the perfect way to start your day. Rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, bathroom amenities, towels and fresh linens.

Our rooms are set within beautifully landscaped gardens, just moments from the River Cam, home to our famous Mathematical Bridge. If enjoying time in our gardens isn’t quite enough, Queens’ also has an onsite gym and squash courts, all of which can be enjoyed by guests.

For residential conferences, delegates stay in modern accommodation at Queens’. Some of our rooms are overlooking the River Cam or College courts. The College accommodation provide a clean, comfortably furnished space in which to rest.
When entering your promotional code to book accommodation, the code should be entered as ‘KX’ followed by your 5 digit number you have been given by the event organiser. For example: KX12345

The College bar can be found in Cripps Court, opening hours by arrangement. The College chapel is open to visitors most afternoons and history souvenirs and postcards of the College can be purchased from the College shop in the Old Court Gate Tower.
The dining hall is situated in Cripps Court. Please see the notice board in the lobby of the dining hall for details of meal times and please arrive promptly for dinner.
Free to use laundrette is available by FF staircase in Cripps Court, but guests must provide their own detergent.
Mail can be obtained from the Porters’ Lodge. There is a post box in Queens’ Lane by the main Old Gate Tower. Collection time: 6.30 pm. Lost property can also be found at the Porters’ Lodge.
Access to the multi-gym is available on payment of a deposit, you can pay and receive an access card from the Porters’ Lodge. A disclaimer will need to be completed.
Photocopying facilities are available in the Conference Office (Bottom of FF staircase in Cripps Court).
Car Parking should be arranged through your organiser if needed as part of an event while staying at Queens – there is very limited parking in College.

Please observe and familiarise yourself with the fire instructions in your room. Break the glass on a manual call point in the event of a fire.

Given the nature of the buildings and grounds, it is College policy that no bookings can be taken for guests to stay in College accommodation if accompanied by children under 16 years of age. If a booking is made that does include children under the age of 16 years, we reserve the right to terminate the bookings at point of registration. No monies will be refunded and we may charge for the entire cost of the stay booked in the College.
With regards to events, the event organiser must accept responsibility in ensuring that their guests comply with the rules set out above regarding minors staying in the College.
To lock the doors in Cripps Court bedrooms, push the button on the inside door handle and pull door shut, but remember to take your key with you. Valuables should not be left in rooms. The College does not accept liability for the loss or damage to any personal property brought onto the premises by any person, or on behalf of other persons. Appropriate insurance cover should be obtained by delegates for conferences. Always keep the door of your room locked when it is unoccupied.
Electricity Supply: 240 volts, 50Hz AC, sockets in the rooms accept 13 amp 3-pin rectangular plugs.
Heating: the radiators within your room are thermostatically controlled. Please adjust for desired temperature.

For out of hours support, please contact the Porters’ Lodge. To rectify any problems please complete the form in your room and return to the Housekeeping Office or the Porters’ Lodge.
Every bedroom should be supplied with an ethernet cable cord, plugged into a live internet socket, with the other end left on the desk. Adjacent to the ethernet plug on the desk is a set of instructions on how to register for internet access. At present wireless internet access (communal areas) and wired internet access (bedrooms) are managed by different systems.
To help the environment, if you don’t wish your towel to be changed, please leave it on the towel rail.
Irons are available from the Porters’ Lodge.
Please ensure that room keys are returned to Conference Organisers or the Porters’ Lodge by 9.30am on day of departure, otherwise a charge will be made. Keys have a freepost returnable tag.
Guests who are invited into the College by delegates are the responsibility of their hosts, non-registered guests may not remain in the College between midnight and 6am. The Porters are on hand to offer help with problems 24 hours a day.
Internet Services (Meeting Rooms): visitors and guests of the college can connect to our guest Wi-Fi using their email address or social media accounts, such as Facebook and Amazon. Connect to UniOfCam-Guest Wi-Fi and follow the onscreen guide.
The Tourist Information Centre in Peas Hill is open between 10am and 5pm Monday – Saturday and between 11am and 3pm on Sundays.
If you have a vegetarian or special diet requirement, these should be requested in advance through your organiser.
