An Evening of Wagner
with Stephen Fry & Edward Reeve

in the Chapel of Queens’ College
Wednesday 11 October 2017 at 8pm (doors open at 7.30pm)

Stephen Fry (1978 & Hon Fellow) will be speaking about Wagner, sharing his love for the music and discussing the many sides of the composer. Edward Reeve (2014, former Aliki Vatikioti Senior Organ Scholar) will intersperse these reflections with his own piano transcriptions from Wagner's operas.

Edward has just graduated from Queens’ with a double starred First, winning the College’s Joshua King Prize and the University’s Donald Wort Prize. Edward will remain at Queens' to study for a PhD in Brahms and Wagner.

A drinks reception will take place in the Long Gallery of the President’s Lodge following the concert.

Alumni may bring one guest only to this event.

This event is in support of The Friends of Queens' Music. Proceeds will go towards supporting the musical activities of Queens’ students.
