The Dining Hall and new kitchens opened in January 1979, as part of Phase II of the Cripps Court development, the benefaction of the Cripps Foundation.
The Dining Hall is huge: 88 feet by 44 feet. It can seat 31 Fellows and 240 students, and more with extra furniture.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served cafeteria-style every day during term, except that on Sundays there is no separate breakfast and lunch: brunch is served.
In addition, every day except Saturday, Formal Hall is served at 19:30, with waitress service. The Fellows dine on High Table. Gowns are worn for Formal Hall.
The architects for Phases I and II of Cripps Court were Powell Moya & Partners of London.
