Mr Stephen Tyrrell

I manage the Gardens Department here at Queens’. I am assisted by my Deputy Head gardener and two assistant gardeners, with overall responsibility going to the Garden Steward. My role is to manage the gardening team to ensure the borders, lawns and grounds look their best all year round, for members of the college, visitors, tourists and the weddings and conferences Queens’ hosts annually. Along with the main College site, I am also responsible for the college properties at Owlstone Croft, Maids causeway and the Boathouse. I also advise and assist with student events such as May balls, graduation days and garden parties.
