The College wishes to recruit a Commis Chef to assist with the production of food, as per daily requirements and in accordance with the Head Chef’s instructions. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an established team where you will be provided with the guidance needed to succeed in a culinary/hospitality career.
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, with a real desire to learn and develop cooking skills. You will be reliable, hardworking, passionate about food and presentation, and have high personal standards.
Candidates, ideally, should have previous experience of working in an academic or hotel/restaurant kitchen environment and be qualified to a minimum standard of NVQ Level 1 (or equivalent) in Food Preparation.
40 hours per week including evenings and weekends. Flexibility will be required, particularly at term commencement, and during conference periods.
Salary £17,661 per annum
