When Hitchcock visited Queens'

Alumnus Philip Wormwell (1964) visited the College earlier this week with his family. While walking around the grounds, he mentioned an ephemeral moment in his second year when he’d spotted Alfred Hitchcock walking through Cloister Court. He wasn't quite sure if that could possibly be the case. However, in 1966, Alfred Hitchcock was in Cambridge giving a talk to the Cambridge University Film Society and did indeed visit Queens'.

Thanks to archival footage from the East Anglian Film Archive, you can see the Master of Suspense giving an interview from Cloister Court to an Anglia Television correspondent answering questions about his distinguished career while promoting his, then, recently completed film, 'Torn Curtain'.
