We were delighted to welcome back Wyn and Marion Lewis to Queens' this week; they live across the Pond and run a vineyard (The Vibrant Vine) in British Columbia, Canada. Since their last visit to Queens' in 2013, The Vibrant Vine has become a global brand: one of the wines from their vineyard was selected for the Platinum 'Best of Show' medal (white wine) in the World Wines Competition, held in Geneva, Switzerland ... a Canadian wine!
To top it all off, their wine packaging was honoured with a silver and bronze medal in the Packaging of the Year awards. Check out the bottles and you can see why (the labels are designed by their son Phil).
Not only do the Lewises run the small, family-owned winery in Kelowna, BC, they have also recreated Queens' Cloister Court in the grounds and stage dramatic performances there, similar to the Bats performances still held at Queens'.
