Queens' dominates the markets & plays host to a Jane Street hackathon

Last weekend Queens' hosted a Jane Street hackathon: a day of simulated stock market trading and coding.

The aim was to provide a 'real' experience for computer science students by getting teams to use their coding skills and implement them in a mock exchange.

Queens' dominated early and had their trading system up and working before the first round and was the only team to make money. Queens' continued to do well in the second round and finally finished third overall due to a large loss in the final round; at least no real money was lost!
