Presentations by Fellows and new Members

Last night was the first of three presentations giving new Fellows and members of the College a chance to present their work to the SCR. 

Yesterday's presentations included:

Dr Ramsey Faragher- Fellow, Computer Science, gave a presentation on his work tackling the difficulties of GPS positioning indoors. Dr Faragher has also been dubbed the 'Real life Q' by Top Gear. 

Dr David van der Linden - Research Associate, History, presented on his research thesis 'Divided by Memory:Coping with Religious Diversity in Post-Civil War France, 1598–1685'.

Diane Leblond - French Lectrice, as well as teaching Frecnch at Queens' Diane is pursuing a PhD in English Literature examining 'sight' in late 20th century English novels.

Dr Michelle Bricker - Fellow Commoner, Clinical Medicine, gave an illuminating talk on what it's like to be an internal medical specialist.

Dr Charles Brendon - Fellow, Economics, illustrated his macroeconomic theory and the economics of optimal taxation.
