Interviews will take place the week of the 8th June.
We are looking for undergraduate and graduate student callers to talk with Queens’ alumni over the phone; ask for feedback; and seek support for our Campaign which aims to increase funds for students, teaching and research. The annual telephone calling campaign is a very important part of our fundraising programme and by being part of it you can help safeguard the Queens’ experience for current and future students.
Last year was our most successful campaign to date, securing over £450,000 for the College. This was largely due to our fantastic team of student callers. Alumni continue to tell us how much they enjoyed speaking to the students. In gratitude, the President hosted a special meal for the callers after the campaign to express his thanks for all their hard work.
Benefits include:
- Earn £8.50 per hr (over £600 in three weeks)
- Full paid training conducted by professionals
- CV points, job references and excellent hands on experience
- Free accommodation provided for the duration of the Campaign
- Free food (to the value of £10.00 per day) for the duration of the Campaign
We strive to make the campaign as fun as possible. There’s a great team spirit in the call room with games, prizes and almost all the Kinder eggs you could eat!
Conveniently this is predominantly an evening and weekend job (26 hours per week), so there is time to fit study or other activities around the campaign.
The hours and timings are:
- 7th and 8th Sept – Two days paid training conducted by professionals. You would need to attend both days of training.
- 8th Sept to 27th Sept – Telephone fundraising managed by professionals. (Monday to Friday 6.15pm to 9.30pm; Saturdays 10.45am to 5.00pm and Sundays 1.45pm to 8.00pm)
- Days off: Friday 11th September, Wednesday 16th and Wednesday 23rd September*
