Caroline Hilley represents Queens' on the Achilles Tour

Caroline Hilley (2015) has been selected to represent Queens' on the Achilles Tour with the Cambridge University Athletics Club, competing alongside Oxford's Athletics Club, competing against universities in America.

Caroline will be competing in the 400m hurdles, 100m hurdles and 4x400m relay team.

Historic matches against the Ivy league pairing of Harvard and Yale will take place at New Haven on 8 April, and against Penn and Cornell at Philadelphia on 15 April.

These contests will be the latest in The Transatlantic Series, which began in 1894, when Oxford beat Yale at the Queen’s Club on 16 July. It is the oldest international athletic competition in the world.

All CUAC members who have competed for the University against Oxford are invited to join the Achilles Club. The Club is exclusively for past and present CUAC and OUAC members, and exists to help strengthen and maintain for life the friendships forged between University club mates and their rivals at ‘the other place’.

Every fourth year a combined Oxford and Cambridge team visits the USA, and for two of the three intervening years the British universities host visiting US teams.
