Astronaut Mike Foale (1975) recounts 1997 collision aboard Mir space station

Alumnus and honorary Fellow, Dr Michael Foale (1975), is back in Cambridge today, speaking at the Meet an astronaut Pint of Science event on Monday evening. Unfortunately, this event is now sold out, however you can hear him recount, in the video below, his experience on the Mir Spacecraft when an unmanned supply vessel crashed into the Mir space station resulting in the worst collision in the history of space flight. He and his team worked feverishly to repair the damage over a critical six hour period.
