Accessing Queens' College

Work has now started to redevelop the Round.  This includes the extension and improvement of the Porters' Lodge; building a new Cloister joining the Porters' Lodge to Cripps Court; and landscaping.  From 1 January 2012 vehicular and pedestrian entrances to Queens' from Silver Street beside the River Cam are closed.  It is envisaged that work will be completed during autumn 2012. There is no longer any parking available in the Round.

Pedestrian access to Queens' during the redevelopment of the Round

The Porters' Lodge has been transferred from its former location at the east end of Fisher building to temporary accommodation in the Portakabin outside W staircase, just inside the entry gates in Fisher Drive.  Pedestrian entry/exit to College is via W staircase arch.  The Porter on duty can then provide directions.  Please note that it will not be possible to cross the Round to the bridge or to Cripps Court from the east end of Fisher Building.

Disabled Parking

A limited number of parking places, (usually 10 spaces) for Disabled Badge Holders, are secured for each Alumni event.  Entry into College is via Fisher Drive.  Please report to the Porters' Lodge on arrival so that they may direct you to the parking area and always display your Disabled Badge
Due to ongoing building work in College, parking for events is restricted to a limited number of spaces for Disabled Badge Holders only.

Parking options - Queens' Sports Ground

We have secured free parking at the Queens' Sports Ground on Barton Road.  We will be running a shuttle bus from the site to College from 11.30am until 2.30pm on Saturday 23 June and to return to the site from 12.00pm until 2.30pm on Sunday 24 June.
