| On choosing a college: | Before I started my application to Cambridge I didn't even know there was a college system, so you can imagine my horror when I found there were 31 colleges to choose from! Making a decision wasn't too hard because I was going to defer my entry to university and the prospectus was also quite informative. After about a week of pondering, I decided on Queens'. Turns out this was the best decision I have ever made. EVER! | ||||
| On Queens': | By the time I was halfway through my first term, I realised Queens' was rather different from other colleges in Cambridge. This is because, everyone here is so much friendlier than elsewhere and far less people fit the 'Cambridge stereotype'- whatever yours may be. For a start, the parenting scheme for freshers helped me make friends easier and quicker, and our weekly fancy-dress parties, which are very popular with all university students, are always good for letting off steam at the end of a busy working week. Also, Queens' has loads of very diverse facilities, ranging from Rugby clubs to Salsa clubs, so it is very easy to pick up new activities at all levels, should you wish to. Another nice thing about Queens' is that we are guaranteed accommodation in college for 3 years of your study. This means that there is little chance to be separated from most of your friends. | ||||
