In the foreground is the mill pool. Parts of Queens' College visible are:

• The red brick building from left to centre is Fisher Building, 1936.
• Behind Fisher and in the centre is the white concrete of Cripps Court, 1974.
• Behind Silver Street road bridge can be seen the wooden bridge, 1749.
• On the extreme right is Essex Building, 1756-60.
